The Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Careers Hub have unveiled its latest initiative, the ‘Careers Observatory’ project, aimed at fostering meaningful connections between local businesses and schools.
The project seeks to provide small groups of students (aged 12-15) with valuable workplace experiences, offering businesses an opportunity to engage with their future talent pool while contributing to social value and strengthening ties with local schools.
With over 20 local schools already participating, businesses have the chance to inspire students to consider a career within their sector through meaningful, half-day experiences. Businesses can get creative with what they offer, such as:
- A workplace tour of departments
- A Q&A session with students and employees
- A short activity supporting students in developing and applying essential workforce skills
